Richmond Memorial Day
Memorial Day is May 27.  Our REALTORS® know that Memorial Day Weekend is a busy time for our residents. With parades, festivals, ceremonies and other events happening around town, you've got quite the options to fill your weekend with fun. Here is our pick of five great activities you and your family can attend this Memorial Day weekend.

  1. America's First College & Memorial Day Celebration – 251 Henricus Park Rd., Chester, VA 23836
Henricus Historical Park is celebrating Memorial Day in a very cool way on May 25th. Just around the corner from Chesterfield homes for sale, come out for a celebration where the first American formal school was formed. Interpreters will host lectures and living history presentations for visitors. They'll even fire muskets and cannons to salute the men and women of the armed forces that have sacrificed their lives throughout American history.

Kings Dominion Virginia
Spring is back in Virginia, and that means one thing for thrill-seeking families: Kings Dominion is back too. Our state's biggest amusement park opened for the season on March 30, and its rides and interactive attractions just might be the most exciting things between Richmond and Washington, D.C. If your family is looking at Richmond homes for sale, head north to Doswell for a preview of the adventures you could have all summer long.

What makes Kings Dominion Amusement Park so much fun for Virginia families? Here are some of our favorite things to do while visiting this 400-acre playground:

  • Ride a World-Class Roller Coaster
Ready to get your blood pumping? More than 60 rides are spread out across the park, but the main attraction is a collection of awe-inspiring roller coasters. Try all 12 coasters while you're there, including the aptly named Intimidator 305 (which takes you 305 feet into the air) and the Coney Island-inspired wooden beast The Grizzly. And don't miss the latest addition, Twisted Timbers! This mid-Atlantic first puts a steel track on traditional wooden supports, and it simulates the path of a mysterious 1950 disaster in Hanover Hill Orchard.

Richmond Virginia Living

If you are considering a move to Richmond, Virginia--a.k.a., the RVA--you'll soon come to understand there's much more to love about our hometown than just being the capital city of Virginia.  Our REALTORS® are sure that after we introduce you to the community, you'll understand what we already know:  Buying one of our Richmond homes for sale is an amazing idea.  The following are nine reasons why Richmond is considered a southern treasure.

  1. Richmond Makes the Right "Great Places to Live" Lists – Our city has made a lot of lists in recent years. It has been hailed as the "most content area" in America by the U.S. National Bureau of Economic Research, one of the best places to find employment by Forbes, and one of the world's top destinations by Frommer's, to name just a few of its accolades.
