My partner and I worked with Christine earlier this year on buying our first house. She is extremely organized and thorough. She walked us step by step through all the paperwork and possibilities at our first meeting. She was able to help us make our offers competitive while working within our risk comfort zone. With her help we were able to find an awesome starter home in the area we wanted. When we were chatting with her about the repairs and updates we wanted done Christine had amazing contacts she put us in touch with. Overall Christine made our first experience buying a home a great one!

Christine helped me purchase my first home a little over two months ago and has remained a great resource since. Over the last 13 years I have done 10 real-estate trans actions, with 3 different real-estate agents. Sounds like a lot, but trust me, I'm not a real-estate speculator. It was just the way life happened at the time. I was fortunate in the fact that all 3 of my agents were excellent in their efficiency and professionalism. However, Christine Shepard added a level of personal buy-in that the other two didn't have. Moving from Hawai'i, we were seeking to buy a property that was in a highly competitive neighborhood with multiple interested parties. Christine built a relationship with the seller's relator and by extension with the seller himself to the extent that I feel the seller may have turned down a higher offer to accept ours. We had a very challenging relocation situation from the West Coast to Richmond, to be closer to our daughter and two granddaughters. I have been in the Real Estate industry for over 20 years in the Los Angeles area, so I had an idea just how many things need to come together for a cross-country purchase and relocation to be successful. We met Christine Shepard through family and friends who had had a great experience with her in a recent relocation to Richmond. Boy, did we make the right decision in working with Christine! Beyond her professionalism, she knows the Richmond market, and all the neighborhoods extremely well. She also knows the local lenders, attorneys, inspectors, and various tradesmen needed for a successful purchase or sale. After we gave her all our various search criteria in detail, she proceeded to set up online searches for us and from there we were able to identify candidate homes that were available on the market. She went over and above in surveying and previewing every one of the potential homes for us, since it was impossible for us to travel and see each one ourselves. Once we found the "one", she negotiated hard on our behalf and in the end, we were successful in purchasing the home we loved at the price level we were comfortable with. She coordinated the closing process with the Listing agent, inspections, and all the other various details. She communicated with us every step of the way, so we were always informed throughout the closing process. We would highly recommend Christine Shepard to anyone needing to buy or sell real estate in the Richmond area, and we will definitely be working with her again moving forward.

While I didn't work directly with Christine, she helped my son buy his very first home, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care and dedication she showed throughout the process. As a first-time buyer, my son had a lot to learn, and Christine guided him every step of the way -- always patient, knowledgeable, and supportive. She treated him like family, taking the time to explain everything clearly and making sure he felt confident with each decision. I've known Christine Shepard as a friend for nearly 20 years. Although she has been nothing but kind and caring as a friend, our friendship is precisely why I was reluctant to have her represent my family in the purchase of a new home. It can be dangerous mixing friends and "business". However, my daughter insisted on reaching out to Christine and I can say with all sincerity, it was the best decision we could have made. Christine is the consummate professional as a Realtor, and truly goes the extra mile at EVERY stage of the process - critically, including after she collects her commission.
