My experience with the John Daylor Team has been excellent. At first we thought that we could purchase a house without having a 'buyers' agent. Ha! I am so thankful that we ended up having an agent from the John Daylor team ("Cathy Dyer"). I don't know what we would have done without Cathy! These guys are so networked into the community that it made our house buying process a whole heck of a lot smoother that it would have been. I'm busy making the money to buy a house my wife is busy rearing our 2 kids (ballet lessons ice skating lessons play dates... ) Cathy took the 'time' needed to make sure that we found the perfect house for us while looking out for 'our' interests even when we didn't know what needed to be looked out for!!! LOL. If I have to sum it up into one word. PROFESSIONAL. I highly recommend John Daylor and his team. Thank You Cathy Dyer what a pleasure to work with :-)

I owned a townhouse which had been on the market with another agent for 10 months but never even got an offer. I called John Daylor; frustrated and concerned. He met with me quickly and showed me another townhouse in the same neighborhood for a better price. At John's suggestion the asking price was lowered substantially and the house sold in 2 months! John and his team were very easy to work with. The whole process was very smooth and I would definitely recommend John Daylor to anyone I know. He's fantastic!

I was a first-time home buyer and only had a vague idea what I wanted. I was referred to John Daylor's team by my parents. Mr. Daylor had helped them sell there home and had great experience with him. Katie Stiles was my buyers agent. We began our search in early July of 2015. We toured several homes throughout the area. Throughout Katie shared her wealth of knowledge. She was very patient with me knowing I was pretty nervous since this was my first home purchase. She did not try to pressure me at all which was really helpful. We settled on a new town home in Shire Place. She walked me through the process and kept in touch with me throughout. When there was a mix up with the builder on some design specifications she intervened and helped rectify the situation. I would highly recommend her as a buyers agent to anyone looking for a home in the area. She was terrific. She really does work Monday through Sunday.

John Daylor and his buyers' agent Katie Stiles are consummate professionals in every way that counts when buying or selling a house in the Richmond area. I sold one with John in 2011 and bought one with Katie (a week ago) in 2015 and I couldn't have been more pleased with their expertise and sound guidance in all things real estate-related. I truly felt "taken care of" every step of the way and they absolutely earned my trust as well as current or future recommendations to friends or acquaintances in need of an expert realtor.

John and Katie Stiles assisted us with the purchase of our home in 2011 and we called him when we needed to sell it this year to relocate out of state. We took his recommendations for getting it market ready and we went under contract in SIX days at just under asking price! He even helped us get a contractor who could get the work done quickly so we could it on the market fast. For us this was important since we would be living apart until the sale. The closing process was extremely smooth and Gwen Reid was always available to answer questions. From our first meeting with John to money in the bank was just about 9 weeks.<br />Great communication great advice great staff great networks. I'm sure we sold our home more quickly and for a better price because of John. We couldn't have asked for an easier selling experience.

I had to move quickly from California. John went above and beyond to help me purchase my house! He is not only professional and friendly but made himself available in minutes notice. Availability was what made everything happen for me. He has also has a great team that he works with. Gwen especially was available and prompt at every email and phone call. She was very professional.<br />John and Gwen are still helping me today even after 2 weeks having moved in. John has called several times to make sure everything is well with our move and the house. He even visited us today with a question i had about the house. This is the kind of service that has allowed our move from California to Virginia so helpful. Gwen is still helping us with connecting our family with different professionals around this neighborhood to touch up on our house.<br />It's no wonder why they've been around for 27 years. We have worked with the John Daylor Team several times. We have relocated and purchased/sold 6 houses in the past 10 years. I wish we had found John sooner! We have worked with John and his buyers agent Katie Stiles to purchase two homes and sell another. The ease of all the transactions was phenomenal. John is truly interested in making sure the entire process is smooth even well after the sale. Not only is the team able to quickly locate exactly what we are looking to purchase but his marketing ability during the sale brought top dollar! As with every home purchase/sale things pop up that can become large issues and make the experience miserable. Whether it is working with the lender or the other party in the transaction John and team did everything they could to take the load of us during our relocation. Hands down John is the best realtor we have ever worked with. Not only just here in Richmond but when we had an issue in another City John used his network to set us up with a realtor on the other side of the state! I was reminded today of the 'service even after the sale' when I opened up the mail to find a copy of my closing statement to assist with my taxes. Trust me that alone save me time as I will not have dig through boxes from moving to find the paperwork for taxes. Thanks John and team for making it so easy and enjoyable!

John exceeded all expectations in selling my home! Not only did he sell my house quickly and at a great price (with multiple offers) but he provided exceptional customer service throughout the process. John kept me frequently updated on the activity on my house and provided thoughtful strategic guidance to aid in my decision making. I was out of town for the majority of the time my house was on the market and John and team kept a watchful eye on the house giving me reassurance it was always ready to show.
