As a first-time homebuyer, I would have been completely lost without the guidance of my realtor, Wes Fertig. He was patient, thoughtful, knowledgable, and reliable. He was prompt with communication and made himself super available for viewings. He explained so many things along the way, which helped demystify the process for me. When I eventually found "the one", Wes helped ensure that my offer was attractive to the seller. He was there every step of the way. He even presented me with a beautiful housewarming basket at the closing. Can't say enough great things about Wes!

Wes was amazing to work with, especially for a single, first-time home buyer. He was critical to helping craft a compelling offer and securing a rapid closing. He was a consummate professional through and throughout. Wes is very down to earth and extremely personable and attentive to needs. He is a problem solver and excellent communicator and always responded promptly to my questions. Wes' extensive knowledge of the Richmond area neighborhoods was a tremendous asset, as I was only a couple years new to Virginia. When touring homes with Wes, he has an extreme attention to detail and was particularly helpful in bringing up and sharing all information, as well as rapidly fielding questions. At no time did Wes ever come across as impatient, pushy or salesman-like. Despite his workload with many certainly higher-value clients than myself, Wes was always attentive to my needs and made me feel as though he was working only with me. He also helped me better understand some of the emotional and psychological aspects of home buying, such as being persistent and understanding the challenges and opportunities within a competitive market. Having Wes on my side made me feel much more confident that I would successfully find the home of my dreams! Which I certainly did along with an extremely speedy closing! For these reasons and many more, it's no surprise that he's the year over year #1 agent at his firm. Working with Wes has helped launch the next chapter of my life as a homeowner and I could not be more grateful.

There is not enough space for me to write how awesome Wes Fertig was in the search of our forever home. He is not only professional but he was also always available, caring, very helpful, and listened to what we wanted. This was my second time buying a house and my husband's first time buying a house. Wes was very helpful in explaining things to my husband in such a way he could understand. My first time buy a house I could tell that my realtor was all about the money. With Wes he was more concerned about what we wanted or didn't want in a home. When I asked him questions, and I asked a lot, he would answer me honestly and in a timely manner. He helped us see when he knew a home wasn't right for us. Wes was very patient and not pushy. When we found our home and we wanted to do some remodeling, he helped by giving me names, numbers, and even lined the contractors to come by on the inspection day to give me quotes of the work to be done. When I couldn't reach a contractor, Wes would call the contractor and the contractor would then return my call. All of this After the deal was done. So if you are looking for an outstanding realtor who isn't just a realtor but felt more like a friend, then definitely call Wes Fertig. He will be our forever realtor!

Wes is a stellar realtor and I would recommend him to anyone who is buying or selling a home (actually already did!). Throughout either end of the home sale process, expect that Wes will give you great advice to make the best decision for you in the long run. Wes is highly responsive and takes the time to talk through all concerns and questions in great detail. Wes was available through any means we communicated - call, text, email. On the selling front, Wes did an impeccable job setting us up for success on our home sale. He did a thorough analysis of recent sales in the neighborhood, talked us through the numbers and give us a good range. He coached us through the process, defined a timeline for us and checked in with us regularly to make sure we were comfortable with how things were going. Before putting the house on the market, Wes set us up with a good team to get through some minor repairs and an excellent staging consultant. Between the general contractor, stager and photographer, Wes really has a solid team that is professional and delivers with high quality. After our house went under contract, Wes and Sarah stayed close to us to make sure everything went smoothly - and it did! On the buying front, we were initially thinking of a new build with a custom builder. Wes met up with us and a couple of builders. Through each of the sessions. Wes provided great insights that helped us think of the long term investment potential of different choices throughout the custom build process. Again, he made it clear that the decision was ultimately ours, but his wisdom on realty truly helped us think about the bigger picture. We actually did not end up finishing the custom build project and decided to move to a different city altogether; however, anyone who is considered buying a home would be in great hands with Wes.

I'm new to Richmond and was referred to Wes. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him. He was focused on finding us the right location and property while also sharing information about Virginia. For instance, Charlottesville wineries and explaining the personal property tax on autos. Wes is a busy realtor although he always made me feel like I was his most important client. He asked thoughtful questions as we toured a home and has a high emotional intelligence; he realized when a home wasn't right for me before I did! Wes has a strong, professional and proactive team to respond to questions, help with the closing process and help with the transition.
