Wes helped my senior father sell his home. He treated my dad with such respect and compassion, and kept my sibling and I in the loop with all necessary details. We were out of town so he managed all on site home improvements and contractors for us as well as many other details. His contacts for movers and contractors were impeccable. He helped to sell the house for the price we needed with a perfect contract and closing was smooth. He was always responsive, warm, and friendly to everyone involved. Our whole family loved working with Wes. We would highly recommend him to anyone needing a realtor.
I recently purchased my first home with Wes representing me as my realtor. He came very highly recommended from a close friend of mine who used him several years ago to purchase his first home with his wife. My home search took nearly two years with multiple offers, and Wes not only stuck with me the entire time, but he showed a level of professionalism and patience that is rarely (if ever) seen these days. He answered all of my questions, remained fully engaged for the entirety of my search, was very responsive to my calls, texts, and emails, and fought for me throughout the entire process. I have, and will continue to recommend Wes to any and all of my contacts that are in the buying or selling stages of their home journies, as he was without a doubt the reason that things went as smoothly and successfully as they did for my home purchase. If you're looking for the best of the best, Wes is the one you want!
This is how I found Wes: Last Spring, I asked a friend who is really good at internet research to do a search for the best realtors in the Glen Allen/Short Pump, VA area. He found me three names, and had a star by Wes's name saying, "call him first." I was looking for a realtor that could not only sell my mom's house, but also understand our particular situation. Just in case, I did my own research on those top three names and agreed that I should call Wes first. The research paid off because when I called Wes, I could tell right away that he could work well with my personality and have the patience and understanding that my real estate situation required. And now my story: I was helping my mom sell her home in Glen Allen, VA when both she and I now live in Maryland. That meant that I had to drive us through I-95 traffic several times back-and-forth from Baltimore, Maryland to the house over the summer to pull this off. Wes was able to accommodate all of our travel plans and meet us there whenever we needed. He also volunteered to be there at the house when we couldn't meet a vendor or to check on anything. It was a huge relief knowing he was there when I couldn't be. We also had a lot of problems with the house and needed to sell it "as is." He carefully helped us coordinate the fixing up of what we absolutely needed to and helped us to understand what we did not have to deal with. We also needed a lot of different types of help to make this happen, especially because I was predominantly managing this remotely from Maryland. Wes recommended some great companies that made a huge difference in our pulling this out-of-state move off such as Caring Transitions and Next Chapter Solutions (two companies that specialize in senior moves). In fact, he maintains a "concierge list" of contractors/resources to recommend if needed. Everyone he recommended was extremely helpful and professional. I've found that only the "best of the best" work with Wes. I even retained an accountant that he recommended to do my mom's 2024 taxes, which will, of course, include the house sale. The accountant has already helped us plan how much taxes to set aside from the house proceeds. I'll close with this one last especially important thing that helped me work well with Wes: Wes did not pass me off to other realtors at his firm. He remained my primary realtor/point of contact the entire time. This was particularly important to me because I didn't have time for a lot of cooks in the kitchen, so to speak. I needed to be sure that I could always get to Wes directly, and I always did. Hire Wes, you won't regret it!
I don't even know where to begin this review, because Wes has been absolutely phenomenal throughout the process of us selling our home! The first meeting in person went well past the allotted time and at no point did Wes seemed rushed to finish the meeting. He answered every question we had and took extra time to explain the selling process to us so that we felt completely comfortable with everything. His approach to his work is very systematic and he has a proven plan that is flawless. His team of vendors are fantastic, professional and trustworthy. Wes has such a tremendous passion about his work and makes you feel that you are his only client at that time. I would 100% recommend him for anyone who is looking to buy or sell a home. Wes is incredible!!!!
As a first-time homebuyer, I would have been completely lost without the guidance of my realtor, Wes Fertig. He was patient, thoughtful, knowledgable, and reliable. He was prompt with communication and made himself super available for viewings. He explained so many things along the way, which helped demystify the process for me. When I eventually found "the one", Wes helped ensure that my offer was attractive to the seller. He was there every step of the way. He even presented me with a beautiful housewarming basket at the closing. Can't say enough great things about Wes!
Wes was amazing to work with, especially for a single, first-time home buyer. He was critical to helping craft a compelling offer and securing a rapid closing. He was a consummate professional through and throughout. Wes is very down to earth and extremely personable and attentive to needs. He is a problem solver and excellent communicator and always responded promptly to my questions. Wes' extensive knowledge of the Richmond area neighborhoods was a tremendous asset, as I was only a couple years new to Virginia. When touring homes with Wes, he has an extreme attention to detail and was particularly helpful in bringing up and sharing all information, as well as rapidly fielding questions. At no time did Wes ever come across as impatient, pushy or salesman-like. Despite his workload with many certainly higher-value clients than myself, Wes was always attentive to my needs and made me feel as though he was working only with me. He also helped me better understand some of the emotional and psychological aspects of home buying, such as being persistent and understanding the challenges and opportunities within a competitive market. Having Wes on my side made me feel much more confident that I would successfully find the home of my dreams! Which I certainly did along with an extremely speedy closing! For these reasons and many more, it's no surprise that he's the year over year #1 agent at his firm. Working with Wes has helped launch the next chapter of my life as a homeowner and I could not be more grateful.
Wes was extremely helpful from start to finish with purchasing my new home. He went out of his way to assist in any way he could and to answer questions I had while going through the transition of old house to new home.
There is not enough space for me to write how awesome Wes Fertig was in the search of our forever home. He is not only professional but he was also always available, caring, very helpful, and listened to what we wanted. This was my second time buying a house and my husband's first time buying a house. Wes was very helpful in explaining things to my husband in such a way he could understand. My first time buy a house I could tell that my realtor was all about the money. With Wes he was more concerned about what we wanted or didn't want in a home. When I asked him questions, and I asked a lot, he would answer me honestly and in a timely manner. He helped us see when he knew a home wasn't right for us. Wes was very patient and not pushy. When we found our home and we wanted to do some remodeling, he helped by giving me names, numbers, and even lined the contractors to come by on the inspection day to give me quotes of the work to be done. When I couldn't reach a contractor, Wes would call the contractor and the contractor would then return my call. All of this After the deal was done. So if you are looking for an outstanding realtor who isn't just a realtor but felt more like a friend, then definitely call Wes Fertig. He will be our forever realtor!
Wes is a stellar realtor and I would recommend him to anyone who is buying or selling a home (actually already did!). Throughout either end of the home sale process, expect that Wes will give you great advice to make the best decision for you in the long run. Wes is highly responsive and takes the time to talk through all concerns and questions in great detail. Wes was available through any means we communicated - call, text, email. On the selling front, Wes did an impeccable job setting us up for success on our home sale. He did a thorough analysis of recent sales in the neighborhood, talked us through the numbers and give us a good range. He coached us through the process, defined a timeline for us and checked in with us regularly to make sure we were comfortable with how things were going. Before putting the house on the market, Wes set us up with a good team to get through some minor repairs and an excellent staging consultant. Between the general contractor, stager and photographer, Wes really has a solid team that is professional and delivers with high quality. After our house went under contract, Wes and Sarah stayed close to us to make sure everything went smoothly - and it did! On the buying front, we were initially thinking of a new build with a custom builder. Wes met up with us and a couple of builders. Through each of the sessions. Wes provided great insights that helped us think of the long term investment potential of different choices throughout the custom build process. Again, he made it clear that the decision was ultimately ours, but his wisdom on realty truly helped us think about the bigger picture. We actually did not end up finishing the custom build project and decided to move to a different city altogether; however, anyone who is considered buying a home would be in great hands with Wes.
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of working with Wes Fertig from Joyner Fine Properties to purchase our new home, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional service and expertise provided throughout the entire process. From our very first meeting, Wes demonstrated a deep understanding of the local real estate market and took the time to listen attentively to our specific needs and preferences. His professionalism and dedication were evident from the start. I highly recommend Wes to anyone in search of a dedicated and knowledgeable real estate agent. Thank you Wes!
